ATTIRE
We have chosen to use the Dance Station for all of our dance wear needs. They have agreed to keep a list of all of our requirements and classes on file. You will find that purchasing from the Dance Station will be a much more convenient choice. Their information can be found on our website! If you have questions about your child’s current dance level, please contact us.
SHOES
Premi students need to have pink, leather ballet slippers.
Pre A and Pre B classes need to have pink, leather ballet slippers. They also need to have black tap shoes (Capezio Mary Jane Tap). If you current have properly fitting, black tap shoes for your dancer, they may be worn. You will need to purchase the Capezio Mary Jane when your child outgrows the current shoes.
Ballet I, II and Advanced students need to have pink, split sole, ballet shoes. They also need to have black “bootie” style tap shoes. We are requiring this type of shoe because of the improved quality of the shoe, they are more flexible and they help promote better foot health for our dancers. If you already have tap shoes that still fit, and are lace-up, it is fine until they grow out of them.
Advanced students are required to have black jazz shoes this year. Bootie style is recommended.
Please remember that NO dance shoes are to be worn outside. Wearing them outside not only ruins the shoes, but ruins our professional dance floor.
LEOTARD & TIGHTS
Premi and Pre A and Pre B classes need to wear any colored leotard and tights to class.
Ballet I, II and Advanced students need to wear Black leotards and pink or black (transition/regular) tights. If they would like, they may wear black skirts, black shorts and black jazz pants at the appropriate time during class.
