Peach Festival
Hi. We have had a blast so far this summer. The girls are really moving along, learning new things and enjoying themselves! The Peach Festival is right around the corner – August 20, 2011. We will be having a Peach Festival practice at the dance school on Friday evening, August 19, 2011 at 5:30 – 6:30. This will greatly help us in setting the girls up for the Peach Festival Parade on Saturday morning.
Our Peach Festival meeting spot will be at the Everett Meredith Middle School Parking Lot. Please be sure to arrive by 7:45 am for a 9:00 am parade start! There will be NO close parking and the streets will be closed after a certain time, so please DO NOT be late! You will not be able to drive your daughter to our meeting place. There is parking at Silver Lake Elementary School and whatever side street parking you can find around the residential section of town. The official end of the parade is at Silver Lake Elementary School. The event coordinators hope to end the parade by 10:00 am!
Be sure to bring a water bottle for your daughter. This event does tend to be HOT! Our older dancers will be performing a dance number while our littlest dancers will watch. We require that a parent walks in the parade with our littlest dancers. You will be on the outskirts of the dancers the entire time. This helps us to know that all of our littlest dancers stay safe (and happy)! And remember, this is not a requirement, but a fun, extra thing that the girls get to participate in!

If your child does not meet the age requirement, but is interested in a more experienced class, please contact the school. We may be able to accommodate your request.
Attire for Summer
All dancers need pink ballet shoes. Pre A, Pre B and Ballet I & II classes need black tap shoes. Tap shoes must be Capezio teletone or Bloch Ultratone. The Pre A and Pre B class requires a Mary Jane style tap shoe.
Dancers must wear their hair in a ponytail or bun. A leotard is required, but tights are optional due to the summer heat. You can purchase footless or transitional tights as well.
No jewelry may be worn around the neck or on the arms, ankles, or fingers for the safety of the dancer. Earrings are permitted.
Tuition for Summer
Tuition is $80.00 for five hours of instruction. There is a $10.00 discount for each additional dancer in the family. Tuition is due by June 30, 2011 and should be mailed to: The Dancing Lights Ballet School, P.O. Box 63, Odessa, DE 19730.
Registration
There is a one time registration fee of $25.00 for each family payable with your registration form. The fee is $25.00 regardless of the number of dancers in the family. The registration fee is due with your tuition by June 30, 2011.

PEACH FESTIVAL PERFORMANCE
We will be performing in Middletown’s Historical Peach Festival Parade on August 20, 2011. The girls will be required to wear white shorts or white skorts and a Peach Festival T-Shirts. Fee for the T-Shirt will be announced closer to the event.
We will have a Peach Festival rehearsal on the evening of Friday August 19, 2011 at the dance school for all summer dancers. Please place these dates on your calendar.
